This is a beautiful full-length hand embroidered, free size wrap around skirt!

Made from cotton fabric in striking red and black, that has been been hand-embroidered throughout using the famous running stitch of the eastern Indian region of Bengal, known as kantha stitch. Like much traditional kantha work the stitches have been used to create flowers and the running lines curve gracefully into stems and leaves. The overall effect created is striking and beautiful.

PLEASE NOTE: This fabric is hand embroidered, the reverse side of the skirt has visible embroidery threads as is normal with handwork, it does not have a neat machine finish. I include one picture of the reverse side of the skirt as well.

Good to know features about our long wrap skirts:

****Measures approximately 98cm length from waistband to hem. Full skirt width approximately 288 cm

****Skirt is secured with ties made from the same fabric to fit according to size, we have sewed loops into the waistband to make tying the skirt nicer. These are free size skirts and comfortably fit up to a L size.

****Cut to create a relaxed easy fall

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: As the fabric is hand embroidered, I suggest a gentle hand wash, keeping it separate from other clothes as colors may bleed. Line dry and iron carefully on the reverse.
